LeBron James claims Kevin Durant joining the Warriors is great for the NBA

LeBron James knows a thing or two about forming NBA superteams, so you won't hear the King offering any criticism to Kevin Durant for joining the Golden State Warriors this offseason.

The man who led the Cleveland Cavaliers back from a 3-1 deficit against the greatest regular-season team of all time sat down with Business Insider recently, revealing his reaction to KD's decision — and why LeBron trolled the Warriors after winning the title.

Via Business Insider:

Although LeBron went through a similar scenario when he teamed up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in Miami, he doesn't necessarily think there's a connection between "The Decision" and Durant's choice.

As for that time LeBron stepped off the team plane with the Larry O'Brien Trophy in-hand, wearing an "Ultimate Warrior" T-shirt that seemed aimed directly at Golden State? The Cavs superstar swears that was a coincidence.

According to LeBron, the Ultimate Warrior was one of his favorite wrestlers growing up -- a fact he shared with his wife, who in turn bought a variety of wrestling-themed shirts for the King.

LeBron packed them all for the playoffs, he claims, but only the Ultimate Warrior shirt was in his bag after Game 7. And when the champagne celebration soaked the shirt he was wearing, LeBron had to wear his only backup.

Of course, with LeBron, there are no coincidences. He absolutely knew what he was doing when he brought that shirt to Oakland for the decisive game of one of the greatest Finals we'll ever see. I mean, he's wearing a hat with the "Kermit sipping tea" meme on the front of it. We're not buying it, LeBron.

Look out, KD. If you're not careful, LeBron will find a way to subtly troll you in 2017.
