In March of 2011, Kobe Bryant made national news by returning to the court in Miami and putting in an hour-long shooting workout after going 8-of-21 from the field in a close loss to the Heat.

On Monday night in San Antonio, Kyrie Irving did the exact same thing.

The Cavaliers had just suffered an embarrassing 29-point loss at the hands of the Spurs, in a game where Irving finished with just eight points on 4-of-13 shooting, to go along with three turnovers and two assists.

Irving has been public about his admiration for Bryant's way of approaching the game in the past, so we shouldn't be surprised to see him use one of Kobe's techniques to try to help him get through a particularly tough stretch.
