Karl-Anthony Towns embarrasses Joel Embiid with these ridiculous moves

NBA fans have gotten a glimpse of what Joel Embiid can do, showing off the talent that made the Sixers take him with the No. 3 pick in 2014. His post moves, deft touch around the rim and range to the three-point arc have turned some heads.

But it was Embiid’s head that got turned Thursday night, when he ran into reigning Rookie of the Year and Minnesota Timberwolves rising star Karl-Anthony Towns.

In the fourth quarter with the game out of reach, Towns pump-faked twice, the second of which Embiid fell for, giving Towns the perfect opening. He drove to the rim with one dribble and unleashed a vicious dunk as Embiid trailed the play.

Towns also showed off his footwork in the post, driving to his left on Embiid, spinning back into a quick ball fake that Embiid couldn’t resist. Towns stepped through for the easy layup.

Towns put on a show during his 25-point, 10-rebound performance in the Wolves’ lopsided win over the Sixers. A show Embiid won’t soon forget.
