Spurs' Simmons caps massive game vs. Warriors by posterizing JaVale McGee
If you don't know, now you know...
The San Antonio Spurs have yet another star in the making -- Kawhi Leonard 2.0 -- in the form of Jonathon Simmons. While Simmons has been raved about within the NBA community since landing a full-time spot on the Spurs' roster last season, he broke out on national TV Monday night when San Antonio demolished the Golden State Warriors 129-100 at Oracle Arena.
First, he erased a Stephen Curry layup that was so vicious it immediately induced flashbacks to LeBron James' epic rejection of Andre Iguodala during Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
Then, with the game in hand and fans walking out of the arena -- Simmons dropped a poster dunk on the head of JaVale McGee that was nothing short of annihilation.
Simmons finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes of play -- and you can be assured this will not be the last time we see highlight reel material from the up-and-coming Spurs diamond in the rough.
