Iverson's wife wants restraining order
The estranged wife of former NBA superstar Allen Iverson was demanding a restraining order be placed on her husband as they fight out a bitter divorce, TMZ reported Sunday.
Tawanna Iverson claims the longtime 76er "has engaged in increasingly contemptuous, threatening and disturbing behavior" in recent months, according to the filing.
Her demand ironically comes as Allen Iverson was said to be considering moving to the other side of the world by joining a team in the Chinese basketball league.
The 11-time All-Star arrived in Shanghai on Friday as part of an NBA legends tour alongside Dennis Rodman, Clyde Drexler and Shawn Kemp and confirmed he would seek talks with Chinese clubs during the trip.
The 36-year-old point guard, who had a short spell in the Turkish league in 2010 after his return to Philadelphia turned sour, last month filed documents to dismiss his long-running divorce case.
He claimed he and his wife reunited and were still intimate for a four-month stretch after she refiled to split in Fulton County, Ga., in June last year, making her claim that the relationship was "irretrievably broken" null and void.
