Courtney Force's car explodes in NHRA New England Nationals qualifying

Courtney Force was very fortunate to walk away relatively unharmed after her Funny Car violently exploded Friday evening at New England Dragway.

The scary incident occurred during the first round of qualifying for the NHRA New England Nationals at the dragway located in Epping, N.H.

Force suffered a minor injury to her left hand as a result.

Despite the scary crash, Force was still able to maintain her sense of humor

"It was a burst of flames, and the next thing I know I was driving a Chevrolet convertible," said Force.
