The racing community is sending its best wishes to Sebastien Bourdais following a hard crash during qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 on Saturday.
Bourdais had just turned two laps at an average of 231 mph when his car stepped out on him in Turn 2 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Bourdais overcorrected and the car went head-on into the outside wall. It then caught fire and flipped down the backstraight. Bourdais was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery on a fractured pelvis Saturday night.
