With the White Sox in the midst of another disappointing season, speculation surrounding a trade of the team’s closer has risen.

David Robertson signed a four-year, $46 million contract with the Sox over this past offseason, but his stay with the club might not last much longer, amid multiple reports that the team is looking to trade him.

But Robertson, aware of the rumors says he’s prepared for whatever lies ahead.

"If that happens, you know, that’s just part of the game," Robertson told MLB.com. "That’s obviously a decision that I’m not even involved in. The organization has to do what’s best for them. If that’s the way this season turns out, then so be it."

Robertson, 30, says he still believes that Chicago has what it takes to turn its season around. The White Sox, are currently in last place in the AL Central with a record of 28-37.

Robertson has 13 saves and a 1.95 ERA in 26 games this year.
