LeBron James has finally ditched the Yankees for the Indians

LeBron James is the most famous athlete the city of Cleveland has ever produced, so people pay attention to the littlest details, including which teams he roots for.

In 2007, during LeBron's first stint with the Cavaliers, he irritated a lot of folks by showing up to an ALDS game in Cleveland between the Indians and Yankees and supporting the rival side.

LeBron didn't just support the Yankees -- he flaunted his allegiance to the home crowd.

Nine years later, though, things have changed.

Last summer, LeBron showed up at NBA Summer League spotting a custom Indians jersey.

And now with the Indians back in the playoffs this year, LeBron is completely on board the bandwagon.

He's putting out Instagram posts in support of the Tribe as they take on the Red Sox in the ALDS.

He's retweeting the Indians' tweets.

When he couldn't make Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday because he had to attend an event for his wife, James still found a way to follow the Indians' home run barrage.
