Watch Virginia Tech pull off a fantastic fake punt in the ACC Championship

Virginia Tech reached deep into its bag of trick plays in the first quarter of the ACC Championship on Saturday in Orlando, Fla.

The Hokies were in punt formation while trailing Clemson, 14-0.

Punter Mitchell Ludwig took the snap and ran forward before tossing the ball forward in jump-shot fashion. Terrell Edmunds caught the pass and took it 20 yards for a first down.

The play was not without more drama, however, as it was first ruled that there was an ineligible man downfield because Edmunds had caught the ball in front of the line of scrimmage. However, the play was reviewed and it was determined that Edmunds first touched it behind the line of scrimmage before controlling it past the line.

The Hokies then benefited from a pass interference penalty before getting a touchdown run from Travon McMillian to cut the deficit to 14-7.
