Meet Lindsey Duke, the star of the NFL Draft
Today, at long last, the NFL Draft is here. Later tonight the draft will air in primetime and at some point during that first round Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles will be drafted. When that happens, look out, Lindsey Duke is about to become the next Katherine Webb. That's because Duke is exactly where Webb was just before the BCS title game, Internet famous but poised for her big national breakout on national television.
Sure, there will be players "rising" and "falling" on draft night -- can we please stop with this narrative by the way, isn't it more likely that the draft prognosticators just got their projections wrong instead of NFL teams tossing out their draft boards and allowing someone to plummet on draft night? -- but there are very few people who are guaranteed to leave the draft stars. Duke is one of them.
But then ESPN, probably afraid of the Webb brouhaha from the same losers who criticized Musburger, chose not to put her on during the Fiesta Bowl. Given that ESPN's cameras hone in on the draft picks at the moment they're selected it will be impossible to miss her this year.
And immediately she'll take off.
There's a decent chance she'll even start trending on Twitter.
So consider this your introduction to the best advertisement in the history of Central Florida.
