Michigan had a bye in Week 7 but jumps over Clemson into the No. 3 spot, giving the Big Ten two of the nation's top three teams. The Wolverines get Illinois next week before traveling to play a beaten down Michigan State in Week 9. With a game at Iowa and then home against Indiana after that, Michigan would have to suffer a significant upset to not going into the final game of the year against Ohio State undefeated.

Ohio State (6-0)
The Buckeyes pulled out an impressive and gritty victory at Wisconsin in Week 7, beating the Badgers in overtime 30-23. It was the 20th consecutive road win for Ohio State under Urban Meyer. Now OSU goes to Penn State for a primetime game next Saturday night before returning home for games against Northwestern and Nebraska in the following two weeks.

There's not much else to say about Alabama anymore. The Tide have been No. 1 all year and just put together their most impressive game of the season in Week 7 -- a 49-10 obliteration of Tennessee in Knoxville. Bama rushed for 438 yards against the Vols (8.9 yards per attempt) and stifled Tennessee's offense. There's no team in the country playing as well as the Crimson Tide so far.
