On Thursday, the least surprising thing in the history of sports happened: A picture surfaced on the internet of superstar rapper, and noted sports front-runner Drake, rocking Alabama football gear.
Considering that Alabama is the best program in the sport, and Drake seems to proudly wear any piece of sports paraphernalia given to him, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Seriously it doesn’t matter the team, sport, affiliation, country of origin, or whether they’re college or pro. If you give it to him, Drake will wear it.
Just how much does Drake like wearing your favorite team’s gear? Let’s take a look.
Drake's love affair with pretty much every sports team ever started with Kentucky during John Calipari’s first year in 2009. Throughout the years, that relationship has evolved, with Coach Cal showing up at his concerts, and Drake reciprocating by getting Kentucky hit with NCAA violations. No, seriously.
Of course, the most famous moment in the relationship was when Drake famously air-balled a 3-pointer at the Wildcats’ 2014-15 Big Blue Madness event

Texas A&M football
Shortly after building an affinity for Kentucky hoops, Drake struck up a friendship with Johnny Manziel, leading to a new-found love affair with Texas A&M football.
Drake and Manziel are reportedly no longer close, but we have to imagine that Drake will still dig the old jersey out of the closet if the Aggies beat Arkansas this weekend.
Drake is originally from Canada, so we knew that his love for hockey would pop up at some point. Above, you can see him wearing a Penguins jersey at a concert in Pittsburgh. He was also gifted a Mario Lemieux jersey from Lemieux’s daughter Alexa, and he described it on Instagram as “the best gift ever.”
While the Lemieux jersey might have been the best gift ever, it didn’t stop Drake from sporting Oilers gear just a few weeks ago. Since he’s Canadian, we’ll give him a pass. After all, it’s OK to have a favorite American NHL team, and a favorite Canadian one, right?
Toronto Blue Jays
He also gets a pass on the Blue Jays. The hometown kid has every right to represent the hometown team.

And he gets a pass on the Raptors. After all, he is the team’s “Brand Ambassador,” right?

We’ll give him one more pass for wearing a Julius Erving jersey in Philly, under the whole “having respect for your elders” umbrella.
OK, one more pass. M.J. is the greatest.
Golden State Warriors
But this one? Yeah, not so much. It’s one thing that Drake is wearing a Warriors jersey, but to rock the Kevin Durant -- shortly after he signed but before KD even played a game at Oracle Arena? Come on, Drake, you’re better than that.
Maybe the most egregious of all of Drake’s jersey wearing faux pas. It’s cool to rock the Houston football jersey, don’t get me wrong. But to do it on the same day that the Cougars beat Oklahoma, in arguably the biggest victory in program history? This is taking front-running to a new level.
Finally, we come full circle with Thursday’s picture of Drake wearing the Alabama gear. At this point, our only question is whether there is any team’s jersey he won’t wear.
