Brook stops Bizier in 2nd to keep IBF welterweight belt

SHEFFIELD, England (AP) Kell Brook kept his IBF welterweight title and remained unbeaten by stopping Canadian challenger Kevin Bizier in the second round on Saturday.

Brook (36-0, 25 KO) started his first fight in 10 months with a barrage that bloodied the overmatched Bizier (25-3), then knocked him down twice in the second round, which was stopped 45 seconds from the end.

Brook completed a third successful title defense to the joy of his hometown supporters in Sheffield, while Bizier lost inside the distance for the first time.
