LOS ANGELES – With a tone of honor and appreciation, FOX Sports heads to Citi Field in Queens on Saturday, Sept. 11 (7:30 PM ET on FOX) as the New York Mets host the New York Yankees on the 20th anniversary of the events of 9/11 that rocked our country two decades ago. The FOX MLB lead broadcast duo of Emmy Award-winning announcer Joe Buck and first-ballot Hall of Famer John Smoltz team with Emmy Award-winning reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci to call the game Tom Rinaldi hosts the FOX MLB Pregame show (7:00 PM ET on FOX) live from the stadium, alongside Hall-of-Famer Frank Thomas and World Series Champions Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz at the desk. Rinaldi also recalls All-Star Mike Piazza’s emotional go-ahead eighth-inning home run just 10 days after the attacks and what it meant to New York, the country and baseball.
