Wonderboy's TKO Upset Delivers FS1 Viewership Record For UFC POSTFIGHT SHOW
Interest in Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson’s first-round TKO upset of former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks at FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HENDRICKS VS. THOMPSON on Saturday evening delivered FS1’s most-watched dedicated UFC POSTFIGHT SHOW (not part of FOX SPORTS LIVE) to date with 535,000 viewers, according to Nielsen.
Saturday’s FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS (8:00 PM ET – 10:00 PM ET) scored 1,093,000 viewers, making it the second-most watched FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS in the network’s history, behind the DILLASHAW VS. CRUZ PRELIMS on Sunday, Jan. 17 (1.767 million).
The main card featuring Thompson’s huge upset victory, as well as five more exciting bouts, delivered 1,317,000 viewers, making it the fifth most-watched UFC FIGHT NIGHT in FS1 history. The show that aired from 10:00 PM ET – 1:01 AM ET saw increases of 25% over last February’s FS1 FIGHT NIGHT average on viewership (1,317,000 vs. 1,052,000). The main card peaked with 1,467,000 viewers from 11:45 PM ET – 12:00 AM ET.
