LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports announces its broadcaster lineup for the historic Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Aug. 23 (1:00 PM ET on FOX and FOX One), as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES makes history with the first automobile race on the National Mall and the streets of the nation’s capital. Commemorating America’s 250th birthday, the landmark event pairs one of the nation’s most significant celebrations with world-class racing set against an iconic backdrop. The announcement was made today by Brad Zager, President and Executive Producer, FOX Sports. 

Leading the FOX INDYCAR race broadcast for one of the most-anticipated events in series history is play-by-play announcer Will Buxton alongside veteran analysts Townsend Bell and James Hinchcliffe. Reporting from pit lane are Jack Harvey, Georgia Henneberry and Kevin Lee, with special reports by Jamie Little.

FOX FREEDOM 250 PRERACE SHOW 

Special, expanded prerace coverage begins at 11:30 AM ET on FOX and FOX One. Four-time INDIANAPOLIS 500 champion Helio Castroneves and former INDYCAR driver Danica Patrick, the most successful woman in open-wheel racing history and the highest-finishing female in the INDIANAPOLIS 500, join Emmy Award-winning host Chris Myers, for a special 90-minute prerace show that will delve into the day’s landmark event while honoring all four branches of the United States military.

Acclaimed FOX Sports reporter and renowned storyteller Tom Rinaldi, winner of 17 national Sports Emmy Awards and seven national Edward R. Murrow Awards, offers special features and interviews live from Washington. 

FOX ONE TO LIVE STREAM IROC PRESENTED BY CHEVROLET RACES:

As announced earlier, FOX One offers live streaming of a pair of IROC Presented By Chevrolet events on Saturday, Aug. 22, beginning at 3:00 PM ET. Bell and Hinchcliffe are joined by FOX NASCAR analyst Clint Bowyer to call the races. Jeff Gordon, a NASCAR Hall of Famer and former FOX NASCAR broadcaster, will offer commentary from the cockpit of his entry. Reporting from pit lane are Harvey and Little. FS1 will re-air the action on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 10:00 AM ET.
