FOX Sports Announces FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025™ Coverage Ahead of Celebrated Tournament
Thrilling Competition on FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus Spotlights
Soccer’s Rising Stars and Top Teams including U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team Starting Saturday Sept. 27
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the world’s top international soccer tournaments, today presents its broadcast schedule and announcers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025™. From Saturday, Sept. 27, to Sunday, Oct. 19, 24 nations from around the globe will compete in the 52-match tournament with matches airing live across FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus.
The biennial competition returns to action with soccer’s next generation of up-and-coming stars meeting in host nation Chile for FIFA U-20 World Cup™ glory. The 24th edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup™ kicks off Saturday, Sept. 27, starting at 3:48 PM ET with a stacked group stage slate on FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus featuring Japan vs. Egypt, Chile vs. New Zealand, Paraguay vs. Panama and Korea Republic vs. Ukraine.
The United States U-20 Men’s National Team open play vs. New Caledonia on the third day of the tournament, Monday, Sept. 29, at 6:55 PM ET on FS1. The U.S. U-20 squad face France on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 3:48 PM ET on FS2, and close out the group stage vs. South Africa on Sunday, Oct. 5, also at 3:48 PM ET on FS2.
The FIFA U-20 World Cup™ will take place across four premier cities and stadiums in Chile, including Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Estadio El Teniente in Rancagua, Estadio Elias Figueroa in Valparaiso and Estadio Fiscal in Talca. Qualified teams competing in the tournament include the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, France, Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Morocco, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain and Ukraine.
FOX SOCCER ANNOUNCERS ON FS1
Acclaimed play-by-play announcer John Strong pairs with former U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) midfielder and match analyst Stu Holden to call four matches on FS1 throughout the tournament, starting with Brazil vs. Mexico on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 6:55 PM ET and U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team vs. New Caledonia on Monday, Sept. 29, at 6:55 PM ET.
On Friday, Oct. 3, at 6:55 PM ET, former England National Team defender and match analyst Warren Barton joins play-by-play announcer Tyler Terens to call Egypt vs. Chile, while veteran voice JP Dellacamera pairs with USMNT legend and match analyst Cobi Jones for a Quarterfinal match on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 6:55 PM ET.
