FOX Sports Adds Foster Farms Bowl to Best-Ever College Football Schedule

New York – Postseason college football returns to FOX Sports with the 15th annual Foster Farms Bowl, which in 2016 airs on broadcast television for the first time ever. Today’s announcement was made by FOX Sports and the San Francisco 49ers, who assume management of the game beginning this season.

The 2016 Foster Farms Bowl kicks off on the FOX broadcast network and in Spanish on FOX Deportes on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 8:30 PM ET from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The game annually features top teams from the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences and also includes a day of community service performed by players and coaches from the participating teams, as fighting hunger within the community remains a staple of the yearly event. Foster Farms serves as the title sponsor of the 2016 bowl game for the third consecutive season.

The 2016 Foster Farms Bowl marks the return of college football bowl action to FOX Sports for the first time since the end of the 2013 season, when FOX presented the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

During the 2016 season, FOX Sports televises top games from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences, plus the Pac-12 and Big Ten championship games. The FOX broadcast network is also home to one of the sport’s biggest non-conference matchups this season, a Week 3 showdown between 2016 College Football Playoff semifinalist Oklahoma and 2015 national champion Ohio State in prime time on Saturday, Sept. 17.
