World Series Game 1 Overnight Rating Best Since 2009

Viewership for FOX Sports’ coverage of the 2015 World Series between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals got off to a flying start last night with Game 1 posting a 10.5/18 overnight household rating/share from 8:00 PM-1:00 AM ET, +31% over last year’s Giants-Royals Game 1 overnight (8.0/13), and it is the best metered market rating for Game 1 of the World Series since 2009 (13.8/22, Phillies-Yankees).

Additional Overnight Highlights:
- During primetime (8:00-11:00 PM ET), FOX averaged a 10.4/17 which projects to be the network’s best performance for a Tuesday night since at least February 2012.
- The World Series powered FOX to a first place finish in primetime among the metered markets (Preliminary: FOX - 10.4, CBS – 8.2, NBC – 5.4; and ABC – 2.8).
- FOX also projects to win the night in prime time among Adults 18-49.
- Local Markets: New York - 26.2/43; Kansas City- 57.3/78 (highest single-market Game 1 rating since at least 1996).
- Overnight ratings peaked at a 12.1/20 from 10:45-11:00 PM ET.
