Saturday FS1 Baseball Capped by Pete Rose and Frank Thomas, HURT & HUSTLE Live Postgame Special
Los Angeles – After combining to create a television phenomenon that lit up FOX Sports’ coverage of the 2015 Major League Baseball postseason, first-ballot Hall of Famer Frank Thomas and all-time hits leader Pete Rose are reunited Saturday night, Oct. 1, on FS1 for a half-hour postgame special, HURT & HUSTLE, following the Cleveland Indians at Kansas City Royals game that begins at 4:00 PM ET.
Thomas, whose intimidating presence in the batter’s box and punishing bat earned him the nickname “The Big Hurt,” and Rose, whose all-out style of play during his 24-year playing career made him “Charlie Hustle,” join host Rachel Brady in a dynamic and free-flowing format. Segments include a conversational preview of the upcoming MLB postseason, an interview the duo recently conducted with outspoken former slugger Jose Canseco and Frank and Pete’s unfiltered perspectives on other stories from the worlds of sports and pop culture.
“It only takes five minutes in a room with Frank and Pete to see that they have the unique opinions and engaging personalities we’re looking for from talent at FS1,” said Gabe Goodwin, Vice President of Cross Platform Content. “HURT & HUSTLE is really just a show about Frank and Pete’s relationship and the fearless way they tackle every topic together. It is constructed to be an engaging postgame show filled with the type of shareable moments that are also consumed digitally on Twitter, Facebook and beyond."
First pitch of the Indians-Royals contest is scheduled for 4:00 PM ET, with HURT & HUSTLE taking to the airwaves immediately following the final out on FS1.
