Michigan State & Oklahoma Jump Into This Week’s FOX Four
Michigan State and Oklahoma both jump into the FOX Four this week at Nos. 3 and 4 respectively, while No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Alabama hold onto their spots from the previous week. The Spartans are back in the top four for the first time since Week 4 after knocking off Ohio State, which was third in last week’s poll, on a 41-yard field goal as time expired, to win 17-14. The Sooners make the FOX Four for the first time this season after holding off TCU, 30-29, on Saturday. The Tigers stay at No. 1 after beating Wake Forest, 33-13, and Alabama remains No. 2 after a 56-6 win over Charleston Southern.
The FOX Four panel functions as FOX Sports’ version of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee, which releases its next set of rankings on Tuesday evening. Each member submits an individual top 10, and those rankings are compiled into an average score and published every Sunday evening, through the end of the regular season, at FOXSports.com.
This week, the committee was comprised of Colin Cowherd, host of THE HERD weekdays on FS1; senior college football reporter and FOXSports.com columnist Bruce Feldman; studio analyst and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Matt Leinart, college football insider and FOXSports.com senior college sports columnist Stewart Mandel; lead game analyst Joel Klatt; veteran play-by-play announcer Tim Brando; sideline reporter Molly McGrath; game analyst and record-setting quarterback at Notre Dame Brady Quinn; game and studio analyst and former USC captain Petros Papadakis; studio host Rob Stone; veteran analyst and former collegiate national champion Spencer Tillman; Outkick The Coverage editor Clay Travis; and studio analyst and former NFL and NCAA head coach Dave Wannstedt.
