Dave Marr III is a play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports’ digital coverage of the 2018 U.S. Open Championship.
Marr joined The Golf Channel in 2000, mainly covering the PGA Tour Champions tournament. For seventeen years he served as a tower announcer, interviewer, and play-by-play host on the Tour as well as hosting the PGA Tour Champions Learning Center, a weekly segment dedicated to covering Championship highlights and player improvements.
A New York native, Marr now lives in Orlando, Florida. Marr is the son of the late Dave Marr, an American professional golfer and sportscaster. His father won the PGA tour three times and went on to broadcast for ABC, BBC, and NBC. After graduating from Bucknell University in 1983, Dave Marr III followed in his footsteps and pursued a career in sports broadcasting as well.
