2024 NHL Stanley Cup odds: Panthers heavily favored after 2-0 start

Updated Jun. 12, 2024 11:24 a.m. ET

The 2024 Stanley Cup Final has been one-sided so far.

Ahead of the seven-game series between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers, the Panthers were slight favorites to hoist Lord Stanley at -130.

However, after outscoring the Oilers 7-1 in the first two games of the series, the Panthers are now -450 to win the Stanley Cup after winning both games on their home ice.

Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has been dominant, tallying fifty total saves through the first two games and allowing just one goal.

Bobrovsky is currently -200 to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.

The Oilers will now return to their home ice on Thursday, and are favored to win Game 3 (-135). It appears to be a do-or-die game for Edmonton considering a team has only once overcome a 3-0 deficit in Stanley Cup finals history, all the way back in 1942.

Let's dive into the latest NHL title and Conn Smythe odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 12.

2023-24 STANLEY CUP ODDS:

Florida Panthers -450 (bet $10 to win $14.50 total)
Edmonton Oilers +360 (bet $10 to win $46 total)

2023-24 CONN SMYTHE TROPHY ODDS:

Sergei Bobrovsky -200 (bet $10 to win $15 total)
Connor McDavid +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Aleksander Barkov +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Matthew Tkachuk +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Evan Bouchard +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)
Carter Verhaeghe +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)
Leon Draisaitl +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)

After both teams won their first-round series in five games, both the Panthers and Oilers faced tougher challenges in the last two rounds. The Panthers needed six games to beat the Boston Bruins in Round 2 before beating the New York Rangers in six games in the Eastern Conference finals.

Meanwhile, the Oilers needed seven games to beat the Vancouver Canucks in Round 2 before beating the Dallas Stars in six games in the West final.

With the Panthers now up 2-0 in this series, the Oilers have their backs against the wall as they return home.

However, there have been some positives to take away from the first two games for Edmonton. Despite being outscored 7-1, the Oilers have more shots on goal than the Panthers so far this series.

How will McDavid and the Oilers respond on Thursday?
