2024 MLB MVP odds: Aaron Judge new lone favorite in AL MVP race

Updated Jun. 10, 2024 1:45 p.m. ET

It's already June of the MLB season. And as the New York Yankees have surged to the top of the league with the most wins, so have surged Aaron Judge's AL MVP odds.

Over the past week, Judge's odds to be named Most Valuable Player in the AL moved to +100 from +200. Now, the Yankees' superstar sits alone as the favorite.

It was just one week ago, however, that teammate Juan Soto was rivaling Judge in this market. His odds were a close second at +220.

Then, last Thursday, he was scratched from the lineup with discomfort in his left throwing forearm.

Luckily for the Yanks, Soto's discomfort is more inflammation than serious injury, and he's listed as day-to-day, according to reports.

Nevertheless, his AL MVP odds shifted to +480.

Let's check out the AL MVP odds at FanDuel Sportsbook as of June 10.

American League MVP Odds:

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees: +100 (bet $10 to win $20 total)
Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals: +460 (bet $10 to win $56 total)
Juan Soto, New York Yankees: +480 (bet $10 to win $58 total)
Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles: +480 (bet $10 to win $58 total)
Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Kyle Tucker, Houston Astros: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)

About Soto's absence since being sidelined, FOX Sports MLB writer Deesha Thosar wrote:

"Championship teams are made up of quick adjustments and egoless players sharing the responsibility of winning games, no matter what it takes. There are 27 outs and 26 men to get it done. In a series that was dubbed a litmus test for both teams [between the Yankees and Dodgers], in the finale, the Yankees overcame the challenge and played like they might just be built to go the distance. It will take learning from valuable lessons to get there."

Over in the National League, Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts remains the favorite, although his odds have moved to +165 from +115 over the past week.

He currently ranks seventh in batting average (.309), and his Dodgers have the second-best record in the National League.

Still second on the NL MVP oddsboard is Betts' teammate Shohei Ohtani, while Phillies superstar Bryce Harper has catapulted into third, moving from +1000 to +410 over the last two weeks.

Currently, Philadelphia has the best winning percentage in MLB.

Let's check out the NL MVP odds at FanDuel as of June 10.
