Career-best outing in OT win Osborn caught 10 of 16 targets for a career-high 157 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 39-36 overtime win over the Colts.

Impact Osborn had a would-be 40-yard catch ruled incomplete on a challenge late in the first half, then flashed his big play ability again on a 63-yard catch in the third quarter. Three plays later, he got into the end zone from two yards out for Minnesota's first points of the game. Osborn made another significant contribution to the largest comeback in league history (33 points) by drawing a pass interference flag in the end zone to set up the fourth of Minnesota's five second-half touchdowns. The 25-year-old wide receiver will look to build on this career best performance in Week 16 against the Giants.

Impact Osborn's volume has oscillated from two targets in Week 9 to 11 last week before dropping back down to three. As long as all three of Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and T.J. Hockenson are healthy, Osborn will have difficulty carving out a consistent role as Kirk Cousins' fourth option in the passing game.

Hockensen has replaced him as the third option in the passing offense (16 receptions the past two games), but at least Osborn still looks to have a role.

Hockenson (nine receptions) looks to have supplanted Osborn as the third option in the passing offense.

Impact Justin Jefferson got a lot of attention from the Detroit defense, which opened up the field for some of the Vikings' peripheral receiving options. Osborn was among them, and he recorded a pair of 28-yard receptions -- the latter of which proved to be the game-winning touchdown. Osborn will continue to produce inconsistently as the third option -- at best -- in Minnesota's passing attack, but he has shown the ability to contribute in a significant way in each of the last two seasons.

Impact It's not a good sign for Osborn's role in the offense that he was targeted just twice in a game where the Vikings were forced to air it out after falling behind early (Kirk Cousins had 46 passing attempts). Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson had 19 combined targets and Irv Smith had eight targets, so while Osborn was on the field for 47 of the offense's 61 snaps and ran 42 routes, he wasn't really in the game plan. Despite a new head coach in Minnesota, the No. 3 receiver continues to be an afterthought in the offense.

Impact Osborn joined the Vikings' top two wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen on the sideline. While Jefferson and Thielen also didn't suit up in preseason Week 1 at Las Vegas, Osborn did play, logging eight offensive snaps and catching his only target for 10 yards. The third-year pro has settled into the third receiver role in Minnesota's offense, which may yield more fruit this year under new coach Kevin O'Connell.
