Sasha Banks and Charlotte made history by becoming the first two women to enter Hell in a Cell and the first women to main event a pay-per-view Sunday night, and everything about the match was special. Charlotte was carried to the ring on a throne, Banks was driven into the arena in an Escalade, and the match began with the two women brawling in the crowd.
After Banks and Charlotte came back over the barrier, the opening of the match mirrored Mankind's epic Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell 1998.
Both women scaled the Cell part way, and Banks rammed Charlotte's head against the cage, forcing her to fall. Charlotte recovered, however, and positioned herself underneath Banks to deliver a powerbomb through an announce table.

Medical staff kept Charlotte from attacking Banks, and a stretcher was brought out from the back for Banks (just as one was for Foley after he was tossed off the top of the Cell).
EMTs placed a neck brace around Banks, but just as the ring announcer was about to announce Charlotte as the new Raw Women's Champion, Banks jumped off the stretcher, beat up a medic and went inside the Cell to start the match officially.
