WWE Rumors: NXT Star Appearing on 205 Live, Potential Talents on the Show

WWE’s 205 Live is getting started on Tuesday night with plenty of stars potentially appearing.

On Tuesday night, WWE will debut their newest show, 205 Live. This is an exclusive program for the cruiserweights, who arrived to the main roster in September. It will air at 10:00 p.m. ET on the WWE Network, immediately after SmackDown Live. Talking Smack will follow at 10:45 p.m. ET.

There are a few interesting notes for 205 Live, though. According to PW Insider, NXT star Austin Aries may play a part on the show. He has been out for the past month with a broken orbital bone. The report doesn’t note what Aries would do in a potential role. Given that he can’t wrestle, maybe he’ll be a manager for someone.

Outside of Aries, it looks like a good handful of the cruiserweights will be on hand for the show. This includes WWE advertising Brian Kendrick, TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa, Jack Gallagher, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra.

Kendrick and Swann are set to headline the debut episode of 205 Live for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. This came after Swann made sure that Dar and Perkins couldn’t handle him to become the new No. 1 Contender to the title. The former EVOLVE star also comes into this match with two wins over Kendrick.

Another thing to watch for is this budding romance angle with Alexander and Alicia Fox. WWE noted how this started developing on the recent episode of Raw, and could play into 205 Live’s debut.

205 Live could be a way of drawing fan interest in the cruiserweights, which hasn’t been there, while also keeping them on Raw. It will be a test to see if WWE can book them on their own show, and if these wrestlers can get the support of the fans.
