Current WWE women’s champion Charlotte is the most successful wrestler to emerge from the NXT division, having held the WWE women’s title since September after debuting on the main WWE roster just over a year ago on July 13th, 2015. Her match Sunday at Battleground will be Charlotte’s 14th consecutive pay-per-view appearance, which is a record for a female wrestler.
She hasn’t been the last NXT star to take the WWE by storm, however, as Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch have also become fan favorites – and on Tuesday night, six NXT stars will be drafted to either Raw or SmackDown. On the eve of the WWE Draft, Charlotte talked to Fox Sports about the event.
Fox Sports: This will be the first WWE Draft you’re a part of, do you have any memories of the drafts from years ago?

Charlotte: I just remember it being really exciting, and the talent really looking surprised. And that’s how it’s going to be for us tomorrow. I mean, no one knows where they’re going, and especially with 6 [wrestlers] being brought up from NXT, it’s going to be exciting.
FS: If you had the choice, would you rather work with Stephanie or Shane?
Charlotte: I’d rather work with Shane and wrestle Stephanie. She’s my "dream match" opponent.
FS: You share a special history with Bayley, who is one of the NXT stars that a lot of people are expecting to be selected Tuesday. Are you surprised at all she hasn’t made it to the main roster yet, and are you rooting for her at all?
Charlotte: I’m not surprised. Everyone’s journey to the main roster is different, so no, I’m not surprised. I know she’ll be here one day. If anything, she’s making strides and growing NXT, and I know how much that means to her.
But I mean I’m looking forward to maybe having Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Nia Jax, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce. We’d be lucky to have all of them join.
FS: What has your reaction been to Asuka’s run in NXT?
Charlotte: I think it’s great, I think she adds diversity, and that was a heck of a win over Bayley in Dallas.
FS: Who do you think will be the No. 1 overall draft pick?
Charlotte: Seth Rollins, I think. Yeah, I’m going with Seth.
