Roman Reigns turned to Daniel Bryan to help defeat The Miz & John Morrison, but King Corbin scored the last strike with a sneak attack on The Big Dog. Also, Bayley earned a controversial victory in defense of her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Carmella, and Bray Wyatt was up to his usual antics when Hulk Hogan rolled through SmackDown.

Roman Reigns & Daniel Bryan def. The Miz & John Morrison; King Corbin attacked after the match

The Miz & John Morrison were incredibly chirpy in the leadup to this contest that saw Roman Reigns choose Daniel Bryan as his mystery tag team partner to take on The Miz & John Morrison. The antagonistic duo continued their antics, leading to a very riled up Reigns & Bryan coming out the gates hot as the contest began.

After a sneaky tag late in the bout, Miz leveled The Big Dog with a Skull-Crushing Finale, but Bryan broke up the pinfall attempt. The A-Lister mocked Bryan’s “Yes!” chants, but he ran right into a Superman Punch, and Reigns followed up with a thunderous Spear for the 1-2-3.

King Corbin, who was barred from competing but purchased a front-row ticket, ambushed Reigns with his scepter after the bell. Corbin wrapped up his night by sitting atop his throne, admiring his handywork and flashing a sly smile as SmackDown concluded.

Dolph Ziggler ruined Otis and Mandy Rose’s Valentine’s Day date

After months of anticipation, Otis and Mandy Rose were finally going to go on their Valentine’s Day date, but the night took an interesting turn when Dolph Ziggler showed up. What exactly happened, and how did The Showoff end up getting involved?

Braun Strowman and Elias forcefully interrupted Sami Zayn’s protest concert

With Shinsuke Nakamura absent, Sami Zayn and Cesaro arrived on Friday Night SmackDown still upset about Braun Strowman’s Intercontinental Title victory over Nakamura and Elias’ constant showings of disrespect. This, of course, only led to more disrespect from both.

Zayn and Cesaro had planned a protest concert to melodically air their grievances, but they were quickly interrupted by the sounds of Elias. An enraged Zayn & Cesaro eventually attempted to strike down Elias, but that proved to be a bad idea when The Monster Among Men arrived with purpose, chasing Cesaro and Zayn from the ring and teaming up with Elias to flatten Zayn’s security guards.

Hulk Hogan was interrupted by Bray Wyatt

Hulk Hogan was scheduled to appear on SmackDown via satellite to discuss The nWo’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this coming April. Instead, he all but entered the Firefly Fun House.

The Hulkster found himself on the topic of Goldberg taking on “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship at WWE Super ShowDown, which led to Wyatt interrupting. Bray mocked Hogan by dancing to the nWo theme music and “playing guitar” on the Universal Championship.

He reminded both Hulk and Goldberg that a massively daunting challenge awaited Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown. Hogan seemed creeped out but not intimidated, though he ended the interview abruptly, and Wyatt gleefully expressed that he would see Goldberg soon.

Sheamus def. Shorty G & Apollo Crews

Shorty G attempted to come to Apollo Crews’ aid last week after Sheamus defeated him in one-on-one competition, but the results were less than ideal for Shorty G and Crews in a Handicap Match.

Crews and Shorty G even unloaded on Sheamus with a flurry of punches before the bell and later had Sheamus reeling with an impressive double-team attack. Sheamus, however, leveled Shorty G with a Brogue Kick to knock him off the apron and followed up with another one to Crews to claim the win.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley def. Carmella

Tempers flared when Bayley interrupted Carmella’s appearance on “A Moment of Bliss,” and the two Superstars agreed to have their scheduled SmackDown Women’s Championship immediately.

Toward the end of a heated title clash, Carmella charged Bayley in the center of the ring, only to be caught by the champion and nearly drive through the mat with the Bayley-to-Belly, but the challenger kicked out just in the nick of time.

After winning a fist fight while perched across the turnbuckles, Carmella struck with a top-rope hurricanrana that resulted in the narrowest of two-counts. Moments later, Carmella trapped Bayley in the Code of Silence, but Bayley fought out of the maneuver and into a pinning combination before placing her feet on the ropes for the three-count and a controversial title retention.

After the bell, Bayley attacked Carmella and raised her title into the air, but Naomi hit the scene and got in Bayley’s face, and Carmella and Naomi left Bayley in a crumpled heap at ringside with a pair of wicked kicks to the face.
