Maggie Lucas had 18 points and No. 23 Penn State scored the

final six points to rally for an 80-77 victory at Indiana on

Sunday.

The Nittany Lions (21-6, 10-3 Big Ten) have won six of their

last seven games and ended a four-game losing streak in

Bloomington. Julia Trogele scored 15 points for Penn State.

Indiana (9-16, 3-10) had a chance to force overtime on its final

possession, but Whitney Lindsay’s buzzer-beating jumper was off the

mark. Jori Davis scored 27 points and Aulani Sinclair had 16 for

the Hoosiers, who have lost nine of 10.

Indiana took a 77-74 lead with 1:36 left on Andrea McGuirt’s

free throw.

The Hoosiers didn’t score again. Nikki Greene’s layup gave Penn

State a 78-77 lead with 40 seconds left, and after Hope Elam missed

the potential go-ahead jumper, Zhaque Gray scored on a breakaway

layup for Penn State.
