Jack Cichy was considered one of the best linebackers in the Big Ten and a potential pick in the first two days of the NFL draft.

But then Cichy tore his ACL in a practice and missed the entire 2017 season. The inside linebacker was able to participate in Pro Day seven months later and on Saturday was selected in the sixth round (No. 202) by Tampa Bay.

Cichy had 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in seven games in 2016 before tearing his pectoral muscle and missing the rest of the season.

Cichy made a name for himself in Wisconsin's 2015 bowl game, recording sacks on three consecutive plays on a win over USC.

With the Buccaneers Cichy joins another former Badger, defensive tackle Beau Allen, who signed with the team as a free agent this offseason.
