Brewers' Lorenzo Cain off to hot start with new team

Christian Yelich is on the 10-day disabled list with an oblique injury after racking up 10 hits in six games, but the Milwaukee Brewers' other offseason acquisition is off to quite the start too.

Lorenzo Cain is up to 12 hits on the season after smacking a pair of singles off Jose Quintana on Sunday in the Brewers' loss to the Chicago Cubs. That's the most of any player who changed teams over the offseason, tied with Marcell Ozuna, Ryan Flaherty and Freddy Galvis.

Cain started the season with a four-game hit streak, hitting three singles in his Brewers debut, then hit his first home run in their first meeting with the Cardinals last week. He leads the Brewers in hits (12), doubles (4) and stolen bases (3) through 10 games.

Milwaukee lost its first series of the season with the Cardinals, winning just one of three at Miller Park, but they'll look to bounce back in St. Louis.

The Brewers were uncharacteristically dominant in St. Louis last season, winning three consecutive series against the Cardinals on the road.

It was Milwaukee's second-highest single-season winning percentage in St. Louis since they joined the National League in 2008, behind only the 2009 team, which went 7-2 at Busch Stadium
