Bucks assign Parker to the Wisconsin Herd
The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned forward Jabari Parker to the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League.
Parker was second on the team in scoring last season before sustaining a season-ending ACL tear on Feb. 8. He averaged 20.1 points to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
He is expected to just practice with the Herd and not play any games. Nevertheless, this is a good step as Parker begins his journey back from another knee injury.
After being drafted second overall in 2014, Parker’s rookie season was also limited to just 25 games by a torn ACL in the same knee. The following season, he played in 76 games, averaging 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds.
The Herd are scheduled to practice in Milwaukee on Monday and Tuesday at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center.
