We got to know the 4-star recruit:

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: I would have to say Get Rich or Die Tryin'. I grew up that way. To me, the movie is a reflection of my life. And I like to watch it because I chose to go a different way.

Q: How has growing up that way helped you in football?

A: Football just allows me to be free and be myself. That's why I love the game so much.

Q: How would you describe yourself when playing football?

A: I laugh a lot, I'm a goofy person. That's how I get ready. But I love to go out there and show that I worked harder than everyone, more than everyone expected.

Q: As the senior leader of your team, is that something you've been telling your young guys?

A: Yeah, I try to be the example for them, that hard work will pay off.

Q: What legacy are you trying to leave behind for Cajon in the years to come?

A: I want them to set their goals high, there's nothing wrong with that. They shouldn't be afraid to speak about themselves, be proud of their goals. And I want to show them that all the little things matter, that they gotta do something extra everyday to make progress.

Q: With all the offers and accolades, you've obviously practiced what you preached, what are you most excited for going into play at a big-time college program?

A: I am excited to get in front of the fans. People that really care about me as a player and person. Also, I'm excited to get to go against the best every single day. It's a dream.

Humble, talented, and bright, Jeremiah Martin is well on his way to be a star in the future.
