Ryan Hollins Blog: Confidence continues to build

We are growing as a team, figuring things out and doing all of the little things that Doc tells us championship teams do.

Last weekend’s game against Minnesota was one to remember. Not only did it keep our winning streak going, but it was huge for our confidence.

We kept working and refused to lose, which is the mentality we need to have throughout the whole season. We are growing as a team, figuring things out and doing all of the little things that Doc tells us championship teams do.

It was a real gut check since we missed some easy shots, but we made it up with our defense, and it may sound like a cliche, but defense wins games, and that was true last Sunday against the Timberwolves.

As a pro, we are always suppose to be prepared. We all practice like starters, and when DJ (DeAndre Jordan) got into foul trouble, I am happy I got fill those minutes, and again when Blake (Griffin) fouled out in OT.

Playing with DJ in overtime is a scary matchup, we are two bigs with similar styles, and we have the ability to move our feet well, defend and recover for each other. Dealing with likely the best front court in the NBA with (Kevin) Love and (Nikola) Pekovic is a headache – they are monsters – but we were able to make it hard for them to get good looks, and they missed some key shots at the end of the game.

Bruins fans were winners too, with DC (Darren Collison), Matt (Barnes) and I against, Love, Mbah a Moute and (Shabazz) Muhammad all on the same court.
