The 2009-10 season will be known as the most prolific in the history of Oakland basketball. A year littered with one captivating moment after another, produced an NCAA Tournament bid on Sunday night. The Golden Grizzlies earned a No. 14 seed by virtue of winning the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls, SD last week.
The tourney bid was the culmination of an impressive run through the conference tournament for an Oakland team that earned the top seed by rolling through the league with a 17-1 record. The Golden Grizzlies won the first two games in Sioux Falls convincingly over UMKC and IPFW.
