NBA unveils ‘We Are One’ commercial following Sterling scandal
The NBA stands as one.
Hours after Donald Sterling was banned for life by NBA commissioner Adam Silver for his racial comments in a recording, the league debuted its "We Are One" commercial, similar to the message posted earlier on the Clippers’ website.
Along with the ban, Sterling was levied a $2.5M fine while Silver said he will do everything in his power to "force a sale" of the Clippers.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers: "He (Silver) made a decision that was the right one, that had to be made. I don’t think this is something we rejoice in or anything like that. I told the players about the decision. I think they were just happy that it was a resolution and it’s over, at least the start of it."
