Before the 2018 NBA All-Star Game started, former "Black Eyed Peas" singer Fergie brought fans to their feet for a National Anthem that was .... well, a different rendition than normal.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their reactions to this ~risky~ version of the 'Star Spangled Banner.'

However, the 19-time Grammy nominated singer broke her silence by making an apology on Monday.

'I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.'
