Chargers sign safety Tre Boston, release guard Orlando Franklin

The Chargers made a pair of moves on Monday, signing safety Tre Boston to a one-year deal while releasing guard Orlando Franklin.
Boston (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) played in Carolina from 2014-16, with 16 starts in 42 games played for the Panthers. He recorded 85 tackles and three interceptions.
Franklin, a six-year NFL veteran who signed with Los Angeles in before the 2015 season, had 26 starts with the Chargers.
