After 11 seasons with the LA Angels, Jered Weaver is moving on. But he's not leaving California.

According to reports from Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports, Weaver has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the San Diego Padres worth $3 million.

Drafted 12th overall by the Angels in 2004, Weaver became the ace of the Angels staff and was a three-time All-Star and three-time Top 5 in Cy Young voting.

Last season, much was made of Weaver's waning velocity but the Angels workhorse managed to a respectable 12-12 season in 31 starts for a team devastated by pitching injuries.

Weaver leaves the Angels with the second most wins in franchise history, 150. And is third on the all-time strikeout list for the team with 1,598 Ks.
