LAFC forward Diego Rossi named Alcatel MLS Player of the Week

The Los Angeles Football Club is already a hit in 2018.

The Club sits at 2-0 and, on Tuesday, forward Diego Rossi was named the Alcatel Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters for the second week of the 2018 MLS season.

In the second match of LAFC’s history on Saturday, a 5-1 win vs. Real Salt Lake, Rossi added two goals and three assists.

The 20-year-old leads the MLS in goals and assists this season as LAFC sits atop the Western Conference Standings at 2-0-0 (6 points).

LAFC returns to action on Saturday, March 31 to face the LA Galaxy at StubHub Center in the first-ever matchup between the intracity rivals (5:30p PT).
