We have a very good feeling you'll be hearing this at least a few more times in the years to come.

US Soccer has named midfielder Christian Pulisic the 2017 US Soccer Male Player of the Year. At age 19, Pulisic is the youngest winner in the award's history besting Landon Donovan, who won the award at age 21.

Pulisic burst onto the US Soccer scene in 2016 becoming the youngest American player to play a World Cup qualifier in the US's 4-0 win over Guatemala. The midfielder has since gone on to score nine times in 20 appearances for the national team.

"It really is a big honor and I just want to thank everyone who voted for me to win U.S. Male Player of the Year," Pulisic said. "It’s something that I never could have imagined to be here in this position. I’m thankful for everyone who supported me and I’m excited for the future."

Voted on by men’s national team players that earned a cap in 2017, men’s national team and youth men’s national team coaches, Major League Soccer, North American Soccer League and United Soccer League head coaches, as well as select former players, administrators and media members, Pulisic garnered 94 percent of the total vote.

On the club front, Pulisic also enjoyed success in 2017 winning the DFB-Pokal Final with Borussia Dortmund in May, a game in which he earned the game-winning penalty to secure the 2-1 victory.
