Carlos Vela set to join LAFC in 2018 as the team's first designated player

Mexican national team star Carlos Vela is coming to LA in 2018.

First reported by Kevin Baxter of the LA Times, the player himself confirmed the news via Twitter on Tuesday:

Vela joins LAFC having scored 10 goals in 37 appearances with Real Sociedad in Spain last season. The striker most recently was a part of the Mexican squad that took part in the Confederations Cup in Russia this summer.
