Blake Griffin passes Corey Maggette for No. 4 on Clippers’ all-time points list (VIDEO)

Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers are off to a solid start this season.

After beating the Trail Blazers in their first game of the season, the Clippers returned to LA to take down the Jazz in their home opener on Sunday.

Contributing 18 points to the team's 88-75 win, Griffin moved past former Clipper and FOX Sports West Prime Ticket analyst Corey Maggette into the No. 4 spot on the Clippers' all-time points list early in the game's first quarter.

For his part, Maggette was gracious in being passed. He posted a video to Twitter congratulating Griffin and urging him to carry on to pass former teammate Elton Brand on the list. Brand's 9,336 points as a Clipper are second only to Randy Smith's 12,735 points at No. 1.

With Griffin averaging right around 1,500 points per season over his career, it's highly likely he'll pass Brand at some point this season, assuming Griffin stays healthy.

And a healthy Griffin is something the Clippers and their fans would love to see this season.
