In his conversation with Skip Bayless and Joy Taylor, Shannon Sharpe reveals why he doesn't agree with NBA commissioner Adam Silver potentially changing the NBA playoff's re-seeding. Shannon says the NBA should pick the best 16 teams for the playoffs.

- Shannon, do you agree with LeBron?

- I do agree. I don't really think this is a pressing issue for the NBA. It's not like currently as we sit here that the Western Conference has the five best teams. That's not the case. These things are cyclical-- Skip, you know this. I mean, in the '80s, the Western Conference was represented by the Lakers, and in the East, it was basically the Sixers and the Celtics. And that's just the way it is. And sometimes you're going to have the West be up, and the next year or the next couple of years, the East will be up.

So what next? The winner of the NBA All-Star game get home court throughout? They're going to do it like baseball? This is not a pressing issue. I don't get it. Why would it be so bad if we were to see the Cavaliers and the Warriors for a fourth straight time? I don't think that's-- I don't think that would be a bad thing. I get the Warriors are playing well, and the Warriors have looked good over the last four years.

And now Houston's come out of-- have seemly come out of nowhere. We thought Houston could be good. I don't think anybody thought they would be this good, especially when you have two ball-dominant players in Chris Paul and James Harden. But they found a way to blend and mesh, and they've looked unbelievable. And they're going to be a tough out, Skip, because you're going to basically get 40-plus minutes of great point guard play. I mean, both guys are averaging basically about nine assists a game-- you know, I think James is probably like a little over 9, and Chris Paul was around 7 and 1/2, 8. So you're looking at that and you're like, wow, OK, this could be special.

But I don't really see the pressing need right now to recede. And if you're going to recede, why do you need conferences? Just play, and just take the best 16 teams. Why do you-- why do we need an East and a West? I just think the thing is that we're getting a little carried away here. I don't want Adam Silver playing matchmaker. And I know everybody thinks the ideal or the dream match-up would be the Golden State Warriors against the Houston Rockets in the NBA finals. But it just so happens, Skip, they both play in the West. And that's just the way it is, so deal with it. Because guess what? I know you don't want to see it happen, but you know what's going to happen.

- Hmm?

- That old-- baaaa-- goat LeBron James is gonna be in the finals again, and you hate it.

- Hmm. No, I--

- Baaaaa.

- I don't hate it at all.
