Chris Broussard reveals to Greg Jennings, Rob Parker and Holly Sonders that Klay Thompson is part of a possible dynasty in Golden State with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, and should remain with the Warriors.

- I love Klay Thompson. And this was not PR speak. Anybody that knows Klay knows that he's not concerned about the accolades. He's not concerned about who's the first wheel, second wheel, fourth wheel, fifth wheel, whatever. He just wants the ball. And I love this. Because I'm tired of hearing, Klay's going to the Lakers. Klay's going to the Lakers. Why? Why should he go to the Lakers? Klay Thompson is on a dynasty, or a potential dynasty. He's on the Lakers in the '80s. He's on the Bulls of the '90s. He's on the Shaq, Kobe Lakers. To a younger generation, they are the Lakers. The younger generation sees the Lakers haven't been in the finals since Kobe Bryant. 2010.

- Did Shaq leave a dynasty with the Lakers? Did he leave a dynasty?

- He got traded. They picked Kobe over him.

- OK. I'm just--

- Is Klay Thompson Shaq?

- And here's the thing--

- No, but I'm just saying he left a dynasty.

- Klay Thompson is not-- it's not like we've forgotten about Klay Thompson. Klay Thompson is one half of the greatest back court in history. He

- Is pushed to the back burner now.

- No.

- Yes he is.

- Did he make-- he is a four time all-star.

- No! But I'm talking about--

- He's still-- What did we talk about last year during the playoffs? It was all about Durant.

- When coaches look--

- It wasn't about Klay.

- When coaches look, and they-- they're only 12 all-stars in the conference. And they say, he's too good for me to leave him off. And they going to select four players from one team? That's respect. That's love. Like I said, he's James Worthy. James Worthy was behind Magic and Kareem. But James Worthy was a top 50 player. James Worthy won all the rings, Hall of Famer. Everybody views him as an all time great. That's what Klay will be. He stays here, he'll be a no doubt Hall of Famer. He'll go down as a great player.

- Who said--

- You want him to be Harrison Barnes.

- Who said--

- Harrison Barnes went to Dallas. Been the leading scorer the last two years. When's the last time we talked about Harrison Barnes?

- We don't.

- We don't even think about Harrison Barnes.

- You think--

- He wishes he was in Golden State.

- You think it would be the same exact situation? The difference is, Klay has already again, once he's won his championships, go get your pay day. I'm talking about--

- Well you assuming they not going to pay him.

- If he gets offered less money than the market would dictate, would you stay? Would you take a--

- I would!

- You would take a hometown discount just to be on that team?

- No question. If I'm-- if I'm happy where I'm at, then what's the difference-- what can I do with $30 million a year that I can't do with $26 million a year?

- I could buy more stuff.

- Look, that's my point. Like, if you happy where you at, and both salaries are huge. Come on. If they ask him to play for the mid-level exception, that's one thing. But if they paying him good money even if it's not the max, come on.
