Lyoto Machida vs Eryk Anders face-off | WEIGH-INS | UFC FIGHT NIGHT

Video Details

Machida and Anders faced off in Belem on Friday during the ceremonial weigh-ins.

ANNOUNCER: Athlete from the NCAA championship football team. When you think about a guy like this, he goes in there, he takes that same mentality, the athletic ability from being a linebacker, reading the running back, and laying the helmet on somebody. He's going to do the same thing in the octagon, try to read his opponent, look at his body motion.

And when he [INAUDIBLE] a chance, he's going to explode. And that's the way we've seen him, KO [INAUDIBLE] with that straight left hand.

ANNOUNCER: Yeah, as you can see, here earlier this morning, he did employ the towel. He actually did miss weight. Lyoto gave him a chance to make it, gave him another hour, I believe it was. So we do have [INAUDIBLE]

ANNOUNCER: The boy missed it. That speaks to the character of Lyoto Machida. There's, in Brazil and this organization-- I'm sorry-- in this commission, you don't necessarily get a chance to do it a second time. Lyoto granted him that chance. And so he came out, he did make the weight, he stepped up, and we get a great flight.

We're going to get some answers, because Lyoto Machido, he's shown us what he can do. And all of those skills that Lyoto Machida's always showed us, those are still there. So I'm really looking forward to seeing Lyoto Machida tomorrow night. And if Eryk Anders can deal with that, woo, we've got a fight on our hands.

ANNOUNCER: Yeah, Lyoto, really the embodiment of a true martial artist.
