Caio Magalhaes out; Oluwale Bamgbose to face Cezar Ferreira in Tampa
An ankle injury has forced Caio Magalhaes out of the April 16 FOX UFC Fight Night card in Tampa, and in his place steps Oluwale Bamgbose, who now will face Cezar Ferreira on the UFC Fight Pass prelims.
UFC officials confirmed the switch to FOX Sports on Saturday.
Bamgbose fell short in his UFC debut when he originally joined the promotion on short notice for a matchup against former "Ultimate Fighter" finalist Uriah Hall.
He made up for that defeat in a rousing performance over Daniel Sarafian in February with a vicious knockout after landing a head kick and then following up with punches to put the Brazilian away.
Now Bamgbose will look to add another Brazilian to his victory list when he faces Ferreira next Saturday night.
Ferreira will try to get back on track after dropping his last two bouts by knockout. Prior to that, he was 3-1 inside the Octagon.
Ferreira vs. Bamgbose remains one of the featured bouts on UFC Fight Pass, with the fights kicking off 4 p.m. ET and John Dodson vs. Manny Gamburyan headlining the early prelims.
