The UFC is doing some serious wheeling and dealing with its summer cards.

The fight between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva will now be the co-main event of UFC 175 on July 5 in Las Vegas and, in its place, a heavyweight contender bout pitting Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic has moved to the main event of UFC Fight Night Brazil on May 31, the UFC announced Monday night. Yahoo! was the first to break the story.

Dos Santos-Miocic was originally the co-main event of UFC 173 on May 24. A bout between Robbie Lawler and Jake Ellenberger will move up into that slot. But White told Yahoo!, "I’m not done working on that card," referring to the Memorial Day Weekend show. The main event, though, will remain a bantamweight title fight between champion Renan Barao and T.J. Dillashaw.

This is the third time the Sonnen-Silva fight has changed cards. It was initially reported that it would be at UFC 173 in May before moving a week later to Sao Paolo on May 31. Now, it’ll be on Fourth of July weekend as the co-feature for an event headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida.

Ironically, Weidman-Machida was initially scheduled for UFC 173. And Machida wasn’t even the original challenger — Vitor Belfort was. Wholesale changes for the UFC for two of its historically major cards of the year.
